Toyota Auris - the first generation of the front-wheel drive C-class hatchback, the production of which was discontinued due to the appearance of a new generation of the model presented at the Paris Motor Show in 2012. Toyota Auris is built on the same platform as the sedan Corolla. But if the latter was developed as a global model, then Auris was created with an eye on the European market.

On the Ukrainian market, only a gasoline modification of the model is available, which is equipped with a 1.6-liter engine with a Dual VVT-i gas distribution system. For vehicles with a six-speed manual transmission, the engine is additionally equipped with a Valvematic electronic intake valve opening level control system, due to which its output is increased to 132 hp. When choosing a four-speed automatic transmission, the engine power is 124 hp.

Toyota Auris competitors include Golf-class cars - hatchbacks Ford Focus, Honda Civic, Hyundai i30, KIA cee'd, Mazda3, Nissan Tiida, Opel Astra, Peugeot 308, Renault Megane, SEAT Leon and of course, Volkswagen Golf.

The first generation of Toyota Auris was produced from 2006 to 2012 at the company's plant in the UK.
