Toyota Hilux - All-wheel drive pickup. Second restyling of the eighth generation model submitted in June 2020.

Compared with previous iteration, the updated Hilux received an enlarged grille, other bumpers and headlights. For expensive trim levels, the head optics are now fully LED and the design of the largest, 18-inch wheels has been changed. As before, the Toyota pickup truck is produced with single-row, one-and-a-half (Extra Cab) and two-row cabs, but in Ukraine it is traditionally presented only in a two-row configuration.

The main changes in the cabin are a different design of instrument scales, improved graphics of the trip computer color display, a media system with a screen enlarged to 8 inches and a new interface, as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto applications. Among the new options is the JBL audio system.

The chassis has also changed. The rear suspension received new springs and dampers that should make the Hilux softer on the move without sacrificing endurance. The permissible mass of a trailer with brakes for all all-wheel drive versions has reached 3.5 tons. In addition, the power steering and stabilization system have been recalibrated.

There are two diesel turbo units in the Toyota Hilux engine range for the Ukrainian market: 2.4-liter 2GD-FTV (150 hp and 400 Nm) and 2.8-liter 1GD-FTV (204 hp and 500 Nm). The first is combined with a 6-speed "mechanics" or "automatic" of a similar range, the second - only with an "automatic". All-wheel drive system with a connected front axle and low gear. On versions with a 2.8 engine, an electronic imitation of a rear cross-axle differential lock appeared.

The Toyota Hilux is available in standard Business, Comfort and Premium trim levels, as well as a special Legend package, which is dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the model. It is characterized by the presence of original exterior details, a black interior ceiling, original decorative inserts and backlit door cards.
