Toyota Hilux - the seventh generation of an all-wheel drive pickup truck, which appeared in the model range of the brand back in 1968. The car is suitable for both commercial and personal use as a workhorse, for example, for fishing trips, hunting and other purposes involving driving in difficult conditions that are beyond the power of ordinary cars and SUVs.
Toyota Hilux is offered in three trim levels - Base, Comfort and Lux. In the first two, the car is aggregated only with a 144-horsepower 2.5-liter engine, paired with a five-speed manual. The top-end Lux version is available with both a 2.5-liter engine and a 3-liter unit, whose power is 172 hp and peak torque is 360 Nm (available from 1,400 rpm). As a transmission for a three-liter engine, only a five-speed automatic is offered.
Not only the type of gearbox, but also the ground clearance of the model depends on the selected motor. With a 2.5-liter engine, it is 212 mm, and with a 3-liter engine, it is 227 mm.
